What if moving through your day could feel easier?
If you’re dealing with tension, stiffness, discomfort, or simply feel like your body is working harder than it should, I offer a gentler way to explore movement. I’m Vlada Bykova, a certified Awareness Through Movement® teacher, and I guide online sessions designed to help you notice how you move, reduce unnecessary effort, and discover more comfortable options.
Start with what you actually feel.
You don’t have to understand Feldenkrais before you try it. You only need to be curious about whether movement could feel different.
In my sessions, I guide you through small, comfortable movements and invite you to notice effort, breathing, pressure, and coordination. Rather than asking you to push harder or stretch farther, I help you explore how you are moving and what other options might be available.
That is the idea behind Awareness Through Movement®: notice first, then discover what can change.
Slow down. Notice more. Discover options.
Get comfortable
I help you find a position that works for you — lying down, sitting on the floor, or using a chair.
Explore gently
You follow verbal guidance through small movements, staying within an easy and comfortable range.
Notice what changes
You observe differences in effort, breathing, balance, coordination, and how movement feels afterward.
You may not need “more effort.” You may need more options.
People come to me for many reasons: tension that keeps returning, stiffness, discomfort, feeling less mobile than they used to, or simply wanting to feel more at home in their body. You do not need a diagnosis or a specific athletic goal to begin.
Certified Awareness Through Movement® (ATM) teacher and third-year student in the Feldenkrais Method® professional training program.
Certified ATM Teacher Online Online SessionsMovement has been part of my life since I was four.
I grew up in Ukraine and began rhythmic gymnastics at age four. I trained seriously for many years, and movement became a huge part of how I understood myself. When I stopped competing and went to university, that changed almost overnight — and chronic pain became a regular part of my life.
After years of trying stretching, massage, exercise, and Pilates, I found the Feldenkrais Method®. My own experience left me with a question that still shapes how I teach: What has my nervous system learned to do, and what else could it learn?
